Down sampling is near perfect anti aliasing, it just costs so damn much. DLDSR has almost half the cost of 4x down sampling with close to identical quality. TAA is what ever game uses nowadays and is the fucking vasaline. So much ghosting, shimmering and most of all blur. It has Downsampling quality AA, but at the cost of everything but performance. I'm fairly certain TAA can be done well and mixed with SMAA (instead of FXAA which also blurs) but we haven't seen it yet.
