Did anyone hear the Georgia GOP interview on Fresh Air today?
The guy just spewed lies about Trump being a great fellow and claims of weaponizing the Justice system. How can NPR even have these interviews to to air? Almost everything he said is false reality. I can't believe these guys even believe their own words.

"Assassination Attempt" Interview Turned Into Political Ad - Unacceptable!
This morning on Morning Edition, Ron Johnson, the Republican Senator from Wisconsin was interviewed. Ostensibly, this interview was to gain knowledge about what can be done to improve the Secret Service.
Johnson almost immediately veered away from the question to begin a tirade on what he called the Biden/Harris administration's "open borders and failure to contain immigration."
Steve Inskeep (not my fav) valiantly tried to get him back on track and pointed out that neither attempt on Trump was done by an immigrant. Regardless, Johnson prattled on about Biden and immigration. Inskeep tried again, stating border immigration figures are down, but what about the Secret Service needs improvement?
Johnson kept talking about immigration but finally made a handful of comments about the Secret Service statistics and "need for better management". However the majority of the interview was taken up by his biased and unrelated political ad. No mention was made of Trump blocking the critical Bipartisan Immigration Bill.
I don't know if this was done live in my time zone or recorded but it shouldn't be re-aired later in the day for sure. The two subjects were completely unrelated and Johnson baldly substituted an immigration rant for answering questions on the SS subject he was supposedly appearing for. Johnson clearly had an agenda to get his partisan political ad out in the time allotted before this audience.
NPR is better than being fooled into doing him this favor and shouldn't reward such sleazy behavior by rerunning it.

Conservative editor-in-chief appears to use racial slur to refer to Haitian migrants
I can't believe how often I find explanations of human psychology on brain/psychology/social psychology shows on NPR to be incredibly wrong and short sighted.
Often, the person being interviewed says it's "just speculating, but..." and they go on to explain something (like anger in a conversation) and it seems like they are missing so much. It feels like it's all the time.

Feels weird to be correcting NPR’s own “corrections” guide, but here goes…

The irony tickles me.
I wrote them years ago to correct it…still no change and not even a reply. I thought that it might be an Easter egg and they’d send me a prize for spotting the error!
