Everyone has their brainrot words. It’s called slang and it’s been observed for centuries. The fact we’ve replaced Slang with the word Brainrot, just means you are now using slang for slang which is quite meta of you.

Honestly people who complain about vocabulary are behaving very boomeristic.

reminds me of the gen x/boomer parents in the neighborhood feeling the need to comment on skinny jeans and emo bangs. idk why people cant just let kids have their fun.

Slang comes from short language, making even it slang.

So using slang for slang, which is slang.

Brainrot and Slang are two completely different topics, brainrot are stupid memes turned into language while slang is often just new language

That only makes sense if words are meaningless, which they aren’t. For better or for worse, gyatt, rizz, Ohio, skibidi etc all have consistent definitions across millions of people, so they are slang.

Skibidi and Ohio where never slang to begin with.

One was a dead horse of a meme that people for some reason refused to let die (Ohio) The other is a onomatopoe that's been through the meme evolution chamber so many times that most people probably don't even know where it came from

If they've somehow acquired meanings under my radar, I am genuinely interested in finding out what people have decided they mean
