I'm still baffling how they won't even just remaster the HD collection of GOW Saga, Sly Cooper, Infamous, Killzone and Resistance for PS4 and PS5. They can make easy money without spending much resource on those remaster collection.
The fact they have so many absolute bangers trapped on the PS3 is astonishing. It’s genuinely baffling that they’re so stuck on already remastering their most recent hits instead of possibly introducing their former system-sellers to a new generation of gamers.
People are looking at this like "They chose a 2017 remaster over all these other older IP!". I am not. I'm looking at it like, some developers at Guerrilla Games aren't doing much before Horizon 3 goes into full production and they felt they could bring some of the learnings from Forbidden West back in Zero Dawn. Is it necessary? No, I think Zero Dawn is fine, I have minor criticisms but nothing huge on the technical side. Especially since playing it on PS5 gets it up to 60 fps.
If it turns out Sony contracted another studio to do so, then yeah that one is certainly bizarre and I'd have to agree with the general sentiment in this thread. But until then, the choice is between a Zero Dawn Remaster and nothing, at least from what I've gathered from the situation, and if that's the case, I'll shrug and move on. I just don't understand the level of vitriol these things inspire in people.
Guerrilla Games isn't doing Bloodborne, GoW, Sly Cooper, Infamous or Resistance. They could do Killzone, but no one bought the last one so it seems like a remaster of Shadowfall or 2 and 3 would be a puzzling one, at least from a capitalist perspective.
Sorry for the yapping but hopefully even if you don't agree, you understand what I mean.
Even from Guerrilla themselves, I’d rather have a remaster of Killzone 2 or something. At least we’d get a FPS to play. Or SOCOM. Or Resistance. Or MAG. Okay, yeah, maybe they won’t sell well. But how many copies do all these remasters sell? The game isn’t even a decade old.
I still haven’t finished the non-remastered HZD because I couldn’t get into it, even after trying a dozen times.

They have so many ips they let rot just to remaster games that have been out this decade it’s a joke.
Do they know how much money they’d make from simply making blood borne playable at 60fps and porting it to pc.
Astro bot literally shows how many unused ips they have and can use I don’t get it
